Welcome to the ELEVENTH season of the  “Tuesday Pool Hua Hin” – League.
The season runs from May 26 to October 20, 2026. 

Here is some preliminary information:

1. We’ll start on May 26th with the first match day. As previously announced, I’ve already finalized the schedule and distributed the booklets because I’m flying to Germany. Therefore, no further changes are possible.
2. Bar owners must ensure that someone regularly reads the Tuesday LINE group. Information and news from the league administration will only be posted there. Those who don’t read the messages there cannot complain later. (Point 28 of the league rules).
3. Rule change for team no-shows: If a team fails to appear without prior notification, it receives 0 points. The team that does appear receives the points awarded for the highest-scoring victory of the evening. Previously, this was 21 points, but this is unfair to the other teams, as a 21-0 score practically never occurs. (Rules 25).

• A group of people have gotten together to observe the players in the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday leagues and potentially classify them as elite players.

  Elite players can be designated at any time, even during the current season. It’s therefore advisable to consider your team composition beforehand, and whether you might have too many elite players.

• Elite players are ONLY permitted if they are part of the team. This prevents elite players from being used for individual matches only. A player is considered part of the team if they have been present at at least one-third of all match days. It’s important to note that a team change is only permitted ONCE. „Player hopping“ is not allowed. At the end of the season, match results can be adjusted if there have been too many appearances by elite players.
• In Group B of the Tuesday League, only ONE elite player is allowed. In Group A of the Tuesday League TWO elite players are allowed, provided they are members of the team. (Point 11 of the League Rules).

   

Please note the following:

• No player can play for different teams on the same night. (Point 22 of the rules)
• Each player can only change teams once per season. (Point 23 of the rules)
• Changing players three weeks before the end of the season is not possible. (Point 23)
• Each player must provide their correct name. (Point 26 of the rules)

We have adapted some rarely used WPA-Rules to the Thursday League:

This is intended to protect against unnecessary discussions. 

Those interested can take a look at the most important WPA rules.  Some of which have been adapted to the Hua Hin leagues.

Please note the following Hua Hin league rule:

• Point 15: ”Game cancellations/game postponements” 
• No player can play for different teams on the same night. (Point 22)
  
• Each player can only change teams once per season. (Point 23)
  
• Changing players three weeks before the end of the season is not possible. (Point 23)
  
• Each player must provide their correct name. (Point 26)
  
• All agreements can be found in the Tuesday League Rules

For clarification:

1. When setting up 9-ball, the „1-ball“ is on the spot (not the „9-ball“).
   In 8-ball, the foremost ball is on the spot (not the „8-ball“). This applies regardless of the size of the table.

2.  The food spot is determined by the position of the diamond markings on the edge of the table. The marking on the cloth is NOT decisive.
   
3. In 8-ball rack, the usual arrangement of the balls is possible, but it is NOT a rule. The rule states that there is NO purposeful or intentional pattern.
4. There is a minimum consumption of THB 1000 for the guest team. It is the responsibility of the home team bar owner/captain, not the league administration, to inform the away team of any underspending and to resolve the issue amicably with them.

Then I found a statement from the previous organizers of the Wednesday League that I fully support:

“We wanted to return to the times when pool was played to win, but in a pleasant and friendly way, without recourse to a ‚win at all costs‘ attitude, which seemed to have consumed many leagues. A time when the residents of Hua Hin and visitors, gathered to have a few drinks, socialise and enjoy the evening and teams were not packed with ‚elite‘ players, whose sole purpose seemed to be to grind lesser teams into the ground. A pool league where those with a more average skill set, could compete on a level playing field.”

It is with this in mind that we run the three leagues we organize.
